Overview
A prestigious school in Kuwait is seeking a highly motivated and experienced and British Qualified Head of Secondary to lead and manage the secondary school division. This is an exciting opportunity for an educational leader to join a dynamic team and contribute to the academic and personal development of students in a supportive and professional environment. The position is for a 2-year contract with the possibility of extension upon mutual agreement.
Benefits
- Monthly Basic Salary: KWD1500 to 1800 p/m (Take Home). (subject to successful interview and experience)
- Accommodation: Free fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment (including water, electricity, security, basic cleaning, and maintenance) OR a housing allowance of KWD 200 per month. The accommodation is conveniently located near the school.
- Transportation: Free two-way transport between the school and company accommodation for the first three months. Continued use is available for KWD 20 per month.
- Air Ticket: Annual round-trip air ticket from your home country, with a joining ticket in September and a return ticket in June.
- Medical Insurance: Private medical insurance provided after the issuance of a Civil ID in Kuwait.
- Salary Advance: KWD 100 provided on the date of joining, deducted from the first month’s salary.
- Visa Expenses: All visa expenses in Kuwait covered by the school. Up to KWD 100 reimbursed for visa expenses in your home country upon submission of receipts.
- Working Days: Approximately 177 working days per academic year.
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 2:40 PM, Sunday through Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays are weekly holidays.
- Holidays: Paid term breaks, Christmas holidays, spring break, and summer vacation.
- Indemnity: As per Kuwait labor law.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the secondary school division.
- Collaborate with the School Director and work closely with three Deputy Heads of Secondary to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.
- Oversee curriculum development, teaching standards, and student performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence and personal growth.
- Lead and support the professional development of teaching staff.
- Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and educational standards.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider school community.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning strategies.
- Manage resources effectively to support the school’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and educational best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Day-to-Day
- Oversee daily operations of the secondary school division.
- Conduct regular meetings with the Deputy Heads of Secondary and teaching staff.
- Monitor classroom activities and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
- Address student and parent concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure the implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the School Director on strategic planning and decision-making.
- Organize and participate in school events, activities, and professional development sessions.
