Overview

We are seeking a Deputy Head of Secondary for an immediate start or August 2025 for our client school based in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will play a key role in the leadership team, contributing to the strategic development and day-to-day management of the secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Secondary in the overall management and leadership of the secondary school
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's strategic plan
• Lead and manage staff, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning
• Oversee the pastoral care and well-being of students
• Assist in the coordination of extracurricular activities and events
• Collaborate with other senior leaders to maintain a positive school culture and ethos

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field
• Teaching qualification and certification
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting
• Strong understanding of curriculum development and assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of educators

Day-to-day

• Collaborate with the Head of Secondary to set and achieve academic and pastoral targets
• Conduct regular observations and evaluations of teaching and learning
• Engage with parents and stakeholders to foster positive relationships and support student progress
• Contribute to the professional development and training of staff
• Participate in school events and activities, promoting a positive school community
